Taking time :(

Well I found the White Paneling for the ceiling, but having difficulties with the Trim. A couple of trims that I looked at doesn't seem to work. So the hunt continues. Hoping that this project to be completed before Christmas! Ugh:(

Weekend . . . Time to get back to work again

Well it's not quite the weekend yet, but Friday Night. Sitting back enjoying a nice fire in the fireplace and making a quick dinner. Tomorrow, will start working again. The ceiling is taking long than expected but I do want it done "right" - so, it will take as long as it will take.

Maybe 1/4th There . . .

Well it's Sunday night and after working on the Marpro since last week the following has been completed: All ceiling titles removed - Sanded Once all the wood beams down to raw wood, well ok actualy today I re-sanded down to raw wood.

There are the side moldings that still have to be removed on both dock and water side.

Once that is done and sanded down - then comes the staining process of the Wood. Just opened a test can of Cherry. I'm really liking this, waiting to see how it actually dries.

Here's really the next step before staining - is having Harold, hopefully - work on the wiring in the ceiling, ensure that all is there where it needs to be and add any thing else we might need.

Keep coming back for updates as they will be posted. . . .

Ceiling Coming Along

Well the Ceiling is coming along, as with most projects they always take longer than expected. Working on this Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. All the old ceiling tiles have been removed back on Saturday, but the last three days were just sanding the old paint (probably lead paint) that doesn't want to sand off easily. The sanding part is about 1/2 done. The checking the Electrical that runs just above the New ceiling panels and then finally staining the new Crown Molding and the wood ribs that I'm sanding right now.

As with most, I also purchased the material for replacing all the hatches - heck of a time find it - Thank you Taco Steel, which it wasn't $65.00 + per 12 feet - I'm needing 48 feet in total, but that's for another project this Winter.

So there's the update as of yesterday. Keep coming back to see all of the restorations taking place this Winter!
